F.11 (99)/2001-Power (i) - In exercise of the powers conferred by
section 27B of the Indian Electricity Act, 1910 (9 of 1910) read
with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification
S.O. 68(E) dated the 29th January, 1997, the Lt. Governor of the
National Capital Territory of Delhi, hereby specifies M/s Delhi
Transco Ltd. New Delhi (a Government Company registered under the
Companies Act, 1956) as the State Transmission Utility in the National
Capital Territory of the Delhi.

F. 11(99)/2001-Power (ii) - In exercise of the Powers conferred
by section 14 of the Delhi Electricity Reform Act. 2000 (Delhi Act
2 of 2001), the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of
Delhi hereby designates M/s. Delhi Transco Ltd. New Delhi (a Government
Company registered under the Companies Act, 1956) to be the principal
company in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Which shall
amongst others, perform the following functions namely : -

To
undertake all planning and co-ordination in regard to transmission.
|
|
|
To
undertake transmission of energy through intra State Transmission
and the work concerned with transmission.
|

|
To
determine the requirement of National Capital Territory of
Delhi in consultation with : -
|
| |
|
(a)
|
The
other companies engaged in transmission for National Capital
Territory of Delhi ; |
|
(b)
|
The
Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission ; |
|
(c)
|
The
Regional Electricity Authority ; |
|
(d)
|
The
Central Electricity Authority ; |
|
(e)
|
Any
other authority under any law in force for the time being
; |
|
(f)
|
Any
other Government concerned ; |
|
|
|
To
undertake such other functions specified in the said section
14 or as may be assigned to it by the Government.
|
